CompStar 2010 School and Workshop on Computational Tools for Compact Star Astrophysics

Over the last decade, compact stars have been shown to be excellent candidates to test fundamental properties of gravity and matter under extreme conditions of densities, temperatures and isospin asymmetries. The analyzis of these properties requires the development of numerical tools. Compstar2010 will focus on issues related to Computational Astrophysics.
CompStar2010 is divided in two major events:
- The Winter School "Computational Astrophysics" with a series of lectures by experts in the field,
8-13 February.
- The Workshop "Neutron star physics and nuclear physics", 14-16 February.

This school is focussed on giving to the students some of the important numerical tools for their research. The lecturers will present both some practical exercises on computer as well as the basic concepts in the following topics:
