Continuing the chain of earlier meetings ECRYS-93,  ECRYS-99, ECRYS-2002 the next  ECRYS-2005 will be organized in August 2005 (21/08 - 27/08). It will take place in France, in Cargese, at the Institute of Scientific Studies (Institut d'Etudes Scientifiques de Cargese) The series of workshops ECRYS pursue several goals: To present detailed studies in all types of Electronic Crystals: Density waves, Wigner crystals from semiconductors and liquid helium to biomolecules, charge ordering in organic metals, stripe phases in oxides etc. To review other relevant systems such as mixed and spin-polarized states in superconductors. To emphasize common phenomenology of spontaneous superstructures: sliding versus pinning, friction, phase slips, plasticity and all related nonlinear, nonstationary and inhomogeneous effects.
